Joe Banks is the SVP of Engineering for UpCity, where he leads the development team and technology strategy, but he cut his teeth writing code for the Timex Sinclair 1000 in the early 80s. After university and stints as a dancer and chef, he returned to his tech roots and still enjoys developing software for real life applications. With more 20 years of experience in the software industry, Banks is a hands-on developer who has led teams both small and large, most recently at Groupon and IDEO Chicago.
