Transitioning security careers can be difficult, but there are several skills that can be transferred between positions.

Washington D.C.’s Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier announced Tuesday that she will resign next month to take over as head of security for the NFL. 

Ray Whitworth has been appointed the Vice President of Operations and Security for Major League Soccer.

Whitworth has more than 30 years’ experience in law enforcement, and he most recently served as Head of Team and Corporate Security for the English Football Association (The FA), according to Tribal Football.
