Full-body scanners at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport aim to increase security and reduce contact between staff and passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A federal lawsuit said the TSA should develop formal regulations for its full-body scanners. 

Software to redesign the scanned images was not completed on deadline, so the TSA is removing nearly 175 body scanners from U.S. airports. 

TSA's top finds this week also include a tomahawk, multiple replica grenades and a speargun. 

A DHS internal report cites weaknesses with airports' body scanners, giving eight classified recommendations for improved screening.
