CenturyLink Field, home of the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks and Major League Soccer’s Sounders FC, has received SAFETY Act Designation and Certification, the highest level of accreditation awarded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Rutgers University has created a new center for public safety and homeland security to prepare for and respond to natural disasters and terrorist threats. The center will include a one-stop online portal showcasing the collaborations among Rutgers experts across all statewide locations.

Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute has been involved in DHS since 2009, and has led the charge in sharing air passenger information with the European Union.
