Police have arrested a homeless man in connection with a violent robbery of an elderly man in a Bronx apartment building earlier this month and that was captured on surveillance video. Cameron Roebuck, 20, faces robbery charges.
Police say the video shows Roebuck repeatedly kicking and punching an 81-year-old man inside the lobby of his building on Unionport Road in Parkchester, Bronx, before stealing jewelry and cash.
The technology: A surveillance system from an Axis Communications Gold partner Kintronics of Ossining, N.Y. http://www.kintronics.com/neteye/neteye.html). It captured the dramatic video of the robbery and beating of an elderly man in one of the largest apartment complexes in the Bronx. The video, thankfully, led to the quick arrest of a main subject.
