Call for Security Officer Nominations

August 14, 2007

Brownyard Group, an insurance provider for security guard firms, has announced its call for nominations for the W. H. Brownyard Award for Meritorious Service. The Award recognizes a distinguished security officer who has been nominated for demonstrating the best attributes of a security officer while in the execution of his duties. "We are proud to pay tribute to security officers everywhere and in particular, to recognize the one officer judged by our panel to be most deserving," stated Brendan Brownyard, CEO of Brownyard Group.

"This year's recognition celebrates the 20 year tradition established by my father - W.H. Brownyard - in 1987," Brownyard continued. "My father recognized that there are many officers who provide great protection, reduce losses, and often avert danger and tragedy by taking heroic action," he added. The security officer selected as most deserving by an independent panel of judges receives a $2,500 honorarium from Brownyard Group. The company also donates $5,000 to the ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) Foundation in the name of the guard's employer.

The award will be presented during the NASCO Contract Security Breakfast at the ASIS International 53rd Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Las Vegas. A nomination may be submitted in 3 ways: To nominate a security officer, see details at www.brownyard.com. Nominations may also be submitted by mail. Provide a detailed account of the officer's actions, along with the officer's name, the employer's name, address, and telephone number, and send it to Brownyard Group, 21 Maple Avenue, PO Box 9175, Bay Shore, NY 11706-9175. Supporting documentation (police reports or newspaper clippings) may be faxed to (631) 666-5723. Nominations and supporting documentation may be faxed to (631) 666-5723
