The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has named U.S. Air Force (USAF) Brigadier General (Ret.) Guy M. Walsh as the founding executive director of its National Security Collaboration Center (NSCC).

Mastercard, in collaboration with Microsoft, Workday and the nonprofit, nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service, launched the Cybersecurity Talent Initiative – a public-private partnership to recruit the nation’s best minds to defend against global cyberattacks.

The threats that face the United States today are the same threats that we faced on 9/11,” says  Michael McGarrity, Assistant Director for the Counterterrorism Division of the FBI.

“Given today’s climate regarding security, we have to be able to optimize our security presence on campus as much as possible,” says Frank Solano, Security Systems Manager for McCormick Place. “That means using technology and other tools to keep our visitors safe."
