An increasingly sought after botanical DNA-based security and authentication solution protects products, brands and intellectual property from counterfeiting and diversion in the United States and Europe.
Bringing the total of seized sites to 839 in the past two years, the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency has seized 70 more sites selling counterfeit or illegal goods.
During fiscal year 2010, efforts to reduce the trade in stolen intellectual property yielded 19,959 seizures, a 34 percent increase over 2009 numbers, said the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
