Six outstanding professionals will be recognized for their leadership in addressing safety and security issues as part of the 2018 National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition, this week in Louisville, KY.

The University of Southern Mississippi’s National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) had opened its Sport Security Research, Training and Operations Center at the National Sport Security Laboratory (NSSL) for addressing sport safety and security risks and threats.

The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS⁴) at The University of Southern Mississippi has earned accreditation from the American National Standards Institute Personnel Certification Accreditation Program (ANSI).

Jeffrey Miller, Senior Vice President at MSA Security, was presented with the Distinguished Leadership Award during the 2016 NCS4 Conference. 

Joe Louis Arena is the first professional sports facility in the nation to earn the Sport Event Security Aware (SESA) designation from NCS4.

Paul Denton, Chief of The Ohio State University Police Division, and Paul Turner, Director of Event Operations and Security for the Dallas Cowboys and AT&T Stadium, will each be presented the Distinguished Leadership Award during the 2015 National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition.
