After Iowa permits legally blind people to buy and carry firearms in public, the debate over gun control legislation is back in the public forum, according to CNN.

The deadly shooting at Washington D.C.’s Navy Yard is promoting Senators to consider a fresh attempt to advance legislation strengthening background checks for gun buyers, Bloomberg reports.

Officials in Newtown, Conn., have unanimously approved a local ordinance limiting recreational shooting in the town, according to Time.

The Republican-controlled Missouri legislature is expected to enact a statute next month nullifying all federal gun laws in the state and making it a crime for federal agents to enforce them there.

The proposed legislation would encourage law enforcement to report firearms used in violent crimes to a national database to be traced.

Every new semiautomatic handgun sold in California must have micro-stamping technology, which marks the firearm's serial number on each used cartridge. 

After a warning from state lawyers, the school has revised its policy to allow students and employees with permits to carry concealed firearms in open areas.

The shows are adding extra steps to reduce illegal parking lot gun sales, as well as to better track sold firearms within the show.
