Amerity and parent company have announced a data breach that exposed personal information. The company learned of suspicious activity on their computer network. The investigation determined that an unknown third party accessed Amerita computer systems from March 12-13, 2023, and that certain personal information may have been obtained as a part of the incident. Amerita recently identified a data set involved in the incident that contained the personal information of some Amerita patients.

The information at-issue included name, address and certain patient information such as medical history, diagnosis, medications and health insurance information. Amerita has no indication that the incident involved Amerita patients’ Social Security Numbers or driver’s license numbers.

At this point, Amerita is not aware of any fraud or identity theft to any individual as a result of this incident, but nonetheless has begun notifying potentially affected individuals to provide them with more information and resources.
