Communications Automation provider IntelePeer named Gary Starling as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Starling brings with him more than 20 years of domestic and multi-national IT and information security experience.

Starling has been with IntelePeer for two years, recently serving as its Vice President of IT & Security. Prior to IntelePeer, Starling worked with the University of Denver, holding several positions, including interim CIO, assistant vice chancellor of IT infrastructure and CISO. He was also director of global IT, Networks and Security for EchoStar/Hughes Network Systems, responsible for NOC/SOC operations in Europe and the United States. Additionally, he served as Avionics Communications Systems Specialist in the U.S. Airforce and as Telecommunications Specialist, Tech Control for NORAD.
Starling earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Colorado Technical University and a master’s in information systems management from Capella University.
