Sherman Shadle has been named the new Director of Security at Little League International.
In his role, Shadle will be responsible for the oversight, development, management and maintenance of all aspects of safety, security and emergency response for daily Little League operations at all Little League facilities and locations. Additionally, he will be responsible for the creation and implementation of security policies and procedures at the Little League Baseball World Series as well as the coordination, support, development and management of special risk prevention programs for all Little League facilities and locations.
Recently retired from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) at the rank of Major in January 2022, Shadle joins the Little League team with 25 years of law enforcement experience where he spent time at every State Police rank in the field. During his time with the PSP, Shadle commanded more than 1,000 officers assigned to cover north and northeastern Pennsylvania, worked in every capacity in major criminal investigations, and commanded numerous large-scale operations that included presidential visits and the Little League World Series.
“I am excited to join an organization that provides so much opportunity for kids around the world to grow and learn basic life foundations,” said Shadle. “A native of central Pennsylvania, I have been attending the Little League World Series since I was a young child myself and plan to utilize my experience in law enforcement to continue to provide the safest environment possible for the players, coaches, fans, volunteers and staff, as well as provide continued support to all our local leagues around the world.”
Congratulations!
