Mikhail Lopushanski has been named the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Heritage Bank, an Australian bank based in Queensland.

Lopushanski has more than 30 years’ experience in strategic planning, governance, auditing, risk and information security, including the past 10 years as Chief Security Officer (CSO) at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

He has held information security roles around the globe, including as an IT Security and Ecommerce Auditor at the New South Wales Roads & Traffic Authority; a risk management and corporate governance leader at NSW Businesslink Pty Ltd; and as an auditing and cybersecurity management consultant for the private sector.

Lopushanski holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with specialization in information systems and accounting, is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a number of industry certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor and Manager.
