David Appel named VP of National Security at AWS

Long-time Raytheon leader David Appel has been named the new Vice President, National Security at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Appel will lead the national security team at AWS, which supports federal agencies' workloads with cloud technology, according to the firm.
Appel brings over 28 years of experience to the role, having most recently served as Vice President of Raytheon Intelligence & Space. Prior to that, Appel held management roles across Raytheon, supporting surveillance to global mission operations and defense.
