The Motion Picture Association (MPA) aims to reduce piracy by increasing their cloud security initiatives through the Trusted Partner Network (TPN), a sector of the MPA focusing on content security.
With the advent of video streaming, cybercriminals have found new avenues for film and television piracy. TPN, a video security initiative that launched in 2018, will roll out updated security best practice guidelines for cloud workflows; an assessment program for application, site and cloud workflows; and a security self-reporting program to provide video content managers with the ability to report alternate security certifications to support the need for a centralized content security solution.
Next month, TPN will begin a pilot program to test, evaluate and elicit feedback to its expanded guidelines. The pilot program will include the participation of leading creative service providers, as well as cloud security subject matter experts.
