Women in the workforce report experiencing gender bias while on the job, according to a report from time2play.
The organization surveyed 1,603 women in the United States about whether or not they have experienced the effects of gender bias at work, college or high school. Nearly half (48%) of respondents reported experiencing gender bias at work, and 54% of women experienced gender bias while in high school or college.
Women in the healthcare sector reported experiencing the effects of gender bias at the highest level when compared to other sectors. This statistic mirrors workplace violence (WPV) levels throughout the United States, with employees in the healthcare sector experiencing the high levels of WPV as well.
