Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri has launched a new Center for Public Safety. The community college has added a number of programs that will be a part of the new center including emergency management and disaster preparedness and a degree in cybersecurity. The Associate of Arts in Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness will be an entirely online degree.
The college worked with Larry Woods, director of Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management, on the new program.
The new center will house programs from across the college under one umbrella that were already existing as well, including Fire Science Technology, Paramedicine, Center of Excellence for Medical Simulation and Criminal Justice.
