The W.E.O’Neil Construction Company installed a Security Management System for its high-end mixed-use West Edge development project in West Los Angeles. West LA’s newest destination to live, work, eat and shop will be the West Edge. The development project is 200,000 square feet and eight floors of creative office space that includes 600 on-site apartments and 90,000 square feet of retail space. Special amenities include a natural grocer, fitness center and several bars and restaurants. The project is expected to be completed at the end of 2022.
When it comes to security, the W.E.O’Neil Construction Company decided to install technology in a partitioned way so that the residential and commercial sides of the development could manage their own areas, providing greater flexibility and the ability to add additional partitions for tenants. The construction group chose chose AMAG’s integrated Symmetry Security Management System, which includes Symmetry Access Control, Symmetry CompleteView video management, Symmetry Blue Bluetooth readers and Zenitel Turbine audio.
Symmetry will be installed throughout the entire complex and will also monitor the building management, IT system, analytics, and audio/visual systems.
HCI Systems was chosen to deploy AMAG’s Symmetry system, as well as to install the low voltage systems, fire, two-way communication, emergency responder radio communication, booster system, structured cable, gas, telecommunications, and WiFi.
