As reported by KGUN 9, a local station in Arizona, the Pima Community College, a two-year institution serving almost 40,000 students a year, has deployed a robot to do its security patrols around the campus.
The Chief of Police at the college says that the cost of the robot is less than a human security officer, and the device can report back to campus security headquarters with video and incidents.
Pima Community College's robot is from Knightscope and has a call button on it that students or staff can use to call for help.
