Princeton University Police will test body cameras in April and plan for a full roll out of all sworn police officers in May, according to the Daily Princetonian.

According to the Daily Princetonian report, non-sworn security officers that oversee general building security will not wear the cameras.

The move is being made to comply with legislation signed in November 2020, in which the New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy mandated that all New Jersey law enforcement officers, including every uniformed state, county, municipal patrol officer, wear body cameras.
