The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is announcing today that funding has been secured for a security research project that will aim to provide comprehensive data on the roles and responsibilities of today's security officers, including insights into their ever-evolving role.
The project will interview and survey security officers globally. The final research is expected to be released this fall, while the survey should open this spring. IFPO is a not-for-profit serving the security officer industry since 1988.
"This research is long overdue. The roles and responsibilities of security officers have changed drastically," said Sandi Davies, Executive Director of IFPO. "This research becomes critical to the development of the future security officers."
The research project will be led by Perpetuity Research and is sponsored by CriticalArc, Doyle Security Services, Friends of Chuck (FOC), GardaWorld, International Security Journal, Orion Entrance Control Inc, SecurAmerica, and Security magazine.
