Precisely announced the appointment of Sue Bergamo as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In the newly created CISO role at Precisely, she will be responsible for carrying out and managing the company’s information security vision, strategy, and program to minimize potential security risks and further a culture of security stewardship.
Bergamo previously served as the CIO and CISO of global digital commerce company Episerver. Bergamo brings to the newly expanded role more than two decades of leadership experience in strategic planning, product management, IT operations and infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, application development and process redesign at Fortune 500 companies including Cigna, CVS Pharmacy, Liberty Mutual and Staples.
Previously, Bergamo was a global technology strategist at Microsoft for over three years, where she worked with a worldwide team of enterprise architects and account managers to execute the strategic development of a range of applications, products and solutions. Prior to her role at Microsoft, Bergamo served in a number of CIO positions including facilities management and food services conglomerate Aramark. She also headed up enterprise data management at global office supply retailer Staples and oversaw enterprise application development for drugstore giant CVS Pharmacy.
Bergamo holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Post University in Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
