Sandi J. Davies, executive director of the International Foundation for Protection Officers, recently announced the appointment of Charles “Chuck” Andrews, CPP as Chief Strategic Officer for the IFPO.
Andrews has more than 40 years experience in the law enforcement and security industries, ultimately retiring from public service as a police chief in Texas. Upon his retirement, Andrews has focused on the private security industry, serving as Chief Security Officer for First Data Corp-TeleCheck and NSS Labs.
“Having Chuck join the IFPO team and bring his wealth of knowledge and well-respected expertise to IFPO will be such an asset as IFPO leads security education and training into the future," Davies said.
Andrews is a frequent expert speaker on a variety of industry topics, and manages www.SecurityTalkNOW.com podcast/video. He served as a consultant for a variety of law enforcement agencies and security organizations across the globe, including the well-known reality TV Show, COPS. In 1996, he was selected as a member of the 1996 Olympic Security Team in Atlanta, GA.
Andrews has been honored with the Outstanding Security Performance Lifetime Achievement Award and IFSEC #1 Security Influencer worldwide. Today, he serves on the board of advisors for several security, cyber and law enforcement organizations and technology companies, offering his expertise as a strategic advisor.
Andrews is regularly requested to speak on subjects involving cyber and physical security, law enforcement, as well as in security technologies, cyber, software and other new, emerging technologies.
