JM Family Enterprises named Victor Campos as chief information security officer (CISO). In his new role, Campos will lead the Information Security team to implement a long-term strategy focused on safeguarding the company’s data and technical landscape.
“We are committed to making strategic updates to our information technology department to better protect our data, and therefore serve our clients and associates,” said Chad Couch, chief information officer. “Victor will be a valuable addition to our team as we continue to elevate our IT security efforts.”
Campos joins JM Family with more than 20 years experience in information technology, 14 of which were focused on information security. Most recently he acted as vice president, IT Security and Infrastructure at Brightstar Corp., the world’s largest global wireless distributor and leading services company for the telecommunications industry, where he oversaw all aspects of information security including strategy, architecture, program management, operations, threat management, access management and training.
Prior to Brightstar, Campos led a variety of technical teams across multiple industries and has successfully led IT transformations by focusing on project delivery and customer satisfaction. He actively supports the Information Security community by mentoring fellow professionals, speaking at security conferences and serving as a founding officer of the (ISC)2 Miami Chapter. (ISC)2 is a nonprofit association for Information Security leaders and practitioners.
Campos graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. He holds the following active professional certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN). He resides in Miami, Fla. with his wife and children.
