Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R) announced the promotion of Greg Klopp to Vice President, Information Technology (IT), and his appointment to the company’s Executive Committee.
“Greg has demonstrated the importance of the elevated integration of IT in both our employee and guest experiences. Like many companies, HE&R sees technology as a key component to help facilitate efficiency and responsiveness throughout the organization. Importantly, our enhanced focus on IT initiatives allows us to better meet our guests’ desire for a fully immersive experience across the destination,” said Dave Lavery, Chief Financial Officer, HE&R. “Under Greg’s leadership, we look forward to the continued evolution and synthesis of our IT team throughout our company.”
During his 19-year tenure with HE&R, Klopp has served in a variety of roles, including Data Center Manager, Director of Technical Services and most recently, Managing Director of Information Technology. “I am very grateful for this opportunity during such an incredibly exciting time at HE&R. I am eager to further collaboration with our dedicated teams across the organization to create innovative approaches to servicing our employees and guests,” said Klopp.
A native of Annville, Pa., Klopp earned a bachelor's degree from Millersville University/ He is completing the Chief Information Officer Certification program at the Heinz School of Business through Carnegie Mellon University. Klopp is active in a number of community groups and professional organizations, including the Board of Directors for The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC).
