Selim Aissi, Ellie Mae's CSO has been selected CISO of the Year from the CyberSecurity Breakthrough, an independent organization that recognizes the top leaders, companies, technologies and products in the global information security market.
Aissi joined Ellie Mae in 2015 as Chief Security Officer, responsible for the overall security program including security operations, security engineering, governance, risk, compliance and third-party risk. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Aissi was the vice president of Global Information Security at Visa, where he led critical security programs that transformed Visa’s information security practices, enabled product innovation and drove global expansion via new data centers. Since joining Ellie Mae, he has been named as CSO50, received the Reboot Technology Leadership Award, been named One of the Most Innovative CISOs and one of the Top 100 CISOs globally.

The mission of the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the innovation, hard work and success in a range of information security categories, including cloud security, threat detection, risk management, fraud prevention, mobile security and email security. This year’s program attracted more than 3,500 nominations from more than 15 different countries, says a press release.
