The city of San Antonio, Texas, has plans to open its first cybersecurity security operations center.
The new center would be shared with CPS Energy, San Antonio Water System and VIA Metropolitan Transit, says a San Antonio Business Journal report. Local leaders are looking for a secure building to house the security operations center, the report says.
The new center expects to leverage software with artificial intelligence that may be able to more quickly identify anomalies inside the network traffic and alert agents about potential issues, the report notes.
