The International Security Management Association (ISMA) has announced the selection of Elizabeth (“Liz”) Chamberlin, JD as its new executive director.
Chamberlin replaces longtime Executive Director Susan Pohlman, who retired at the end of June after serving ISMA for more than 25 years.
“We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” reported Bonnie Michelman, President of ISMA’s Board of Directors, and Director of Police, Security and Outside Services at Massachusetts General Hospital/Partners Health Care. “Liz will bring leadership, professionalism and creativity to ISMA’s programs, as well as a deep sense of commitment to member services.”
Chamberlin's resume includes more than 5 years’ experience as a litigator at a major law firm. She has spent the last five years working as ISMA’s Deputy Executive Director. She has a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law.
“I look forward to continuing to serve the ISMA membership and the broader security industry,” Chamberlin said. “I have a steadfast sense of dedication to ISMA and the work it does supporting our members’ contributions to enhancing professional and business standards.”
