As cybersecurity risks increase, security budgets across various industries are growing, according to a survey from The Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP). However, additional funding is not enough to tackle the issue.

For more than 75 percent of IISP members surveyed, security budgets have increased, with an additional 15 percent saying their budgets have remained level. Still, 60 percent of respondents reported that their budgets were lagging behind the rise in the level of threats.

Another problem cited was the shortage of staff – not necessarily a shortage of people, but the lack of required skills and experience.
