For long stretches of perimeter or border fencing, it can be costly to deploy guards to patrol the fence or to investigate every nuisance alert. This robot runs on an elevated rail along the perimeter, carrying an assortment of sensors such as two fixed cameras with IR illuminators, one PTZ camera, and a two-way intercom in order to communicate with intercepted would-be intruders. It reaches speeds up to 50 km/h, and a typical unit covers 500 meters. The robot is battery-powered and communicates via WiFi. Multiple modes allow the unit to automatically inspect fence integrity and home in on alert locations.
