Little more than a month after the killing of Transportation Security Administration officer Geraldo I. Hernandez at Los Angeles International Airport, 59 percent of those polled by a conservative think tank say TSA agents should be armed, LA Times reports.
The survey, conducted on behalf of the Reason Foundation, found nearly two-thirds of both Republicans and Democrats favor arming TSA agents. Support declines among nonpartisan independents and Republican-leaning independents. Self-identified libertarians were the only political group in which a majority (56 percent) opposed arming TSA agents, the article reports.
