California's Department of Mental Health says it has implemented new security measures at a Napa hospital where a psychiatric nurse was found strangled over the weekend.

The police presence at Napa State Hospital has been increased. Patient access to hospital grounds has also been restricted and a shuttle service is now available to take staff to the parking lot. Donna Gross was a psychiatric technician who had worked at the hospital for 14 years.

An AP report says that Jess Willard Massey — a patient with a history of mental illness — is a suspect in her death.
