Victoria Espinel has been confirmed as the nation's first Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator.
 
Espinel most recently served as the founder and president of the nonprofit Bridging the Innovation Divide and also has served as a visiting professor at George Mason University Law School, focusing on intellectual and international trade. In addition, Espinel has worked as an intellectual property adviser to the Senate Judiciary and Finance committees and the House Judiciary and Ways and Means committees. During the Bush administration, she was chosen to be the nation's first assistant U.S. trade representative for intellectual property and innovation.
