The folks at GAI-Tronics tell Security Magazine that their existing stanchions can be updated to include campus public address and mass notification for campus, parking facility and recreation area.

The Model 234SBM Stanchion Broadcast Module helps to insure public safety at fraction of the cost of a new stanchion installation. It can be configured for 1, 2, 3, or 4 speakers; also reducing costs when broadcasting in four different directions are not necessary.

The rugged, weatherproof speakers will handle whatever Mother Nature can throw at them, providing an output of up to 110 dB SPL at 1 meter. The speaker amplifier electronics are installed on a replacement access panel that conveniently mounts at the bottom of the existing stanchion.
