DVR Offers Upgraded Image Quality, Alarms
DVRs can be upgraded thanks to software with updated features. Bosch Security Systems’ DiBos 8 DVR now has software version 8.21, which enables the DVR to deliver crisper images and alert users to degraded video quality or lost camera signals. The DVR can now offer recording, live viewing and playback of analog and IP video at a higher resolution. With improved video quality, personnel can capture clearer images. The DVR automatically displays camera alarms in live viewing mode and logs all alarm acknowledgements and deletions. The DVR also generates a warning when a camera is out of focus or when video images are abnormally bright or dark, indicating a person may be attempting to cover a camera or blind it with excessive light. These tamper detection capabilities make it ideal for high-risk environments, including banking, retail, transportation and government applications.
