IndigoVision’s fixed IP dome is the latest component to be added to IndigoVision’s integrated IP Video solution. The camera can be ceiling or wall mounted and uses a Sony sensor. The camera has encoder technology built in, and analog to digital conversion is completely eliminated with a direct digital interface from the camera sensor to the compression chip. The dome camera enables deployment of IP based video systems, as it only requires a single CAT 5 cable for connection to the network. The integrated solution allows advanced features such as activity-controlled frame rate, Power-over-Ethernet and camera-based analytics to be deployed in the dome itself – a feature not normally available on stand-alone IP cameras.
