The BA-200 barcode reader from Barcode Automation Inc. has been redesigned with a smaller snout on the aluminum housing. This allows vehicles to pass closer to the reader while decreasing the possibility of damage from collisions and allowing easier mounting on lane curbs or islands. The system will read automatic vehicle identification decals at up to 6 feet away while moving at 25 mph. It communicates with computer software systems, security panels and telephone entry systems.
