Chris DeRusha Named CSO for State of Michigan

Former DHS cybersecurity strategist Chris DeRusha has been named chief security officer for the state of Michigan.
DeRusha has a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s in national security policy studies. He was with the Department of Homeland Security from 2011-2015, as a special assistant to the deputy secretary, as a cybersecurity strategist and then adviser to the deputy under secretary for cybersecurity. He also served as senior cybersecurity advisor to Barrack Obama from 2015 to 2017.
