Mexico to Issue Background Checks on City Police

In an effort to better secure what is known as one of the most dangerous states in Mexico, the government is now issuing background checks and examining city traffic cops throughout Tamaulipas.

The hope is to help eliminate corruption, according to KGNS. The exams will take place in Cuidad Victoria and are headed by the department of public safety .
